Intro
Zerowaster is a mobile app designed to encourage eco-friendly practices through seamless waste management and recycling efforts. The app aims to empower users to track their recycling progress, set up waste pickups, and learn more about sustainable living.
Why I made this Project
As a big fan of environmental sustainability, I created an app that educates and encourages users to recycle. This app will help save the environment by educating people and incentivising them, with different rewards and bonuses, to take action.

Approach & Process
Project summary
During this project, I learnt to put users front and center of my design process. Having a development plan was crucial to organizing the process, and activities to getting the job done. I managed to evaluate the market, do a quick user survey on X(formerly twitter), perform a mini usability study, create a set of low fidelity wireframes, connect them into a prototype and build them out into high fidelity beautiful UI designs. In the last checkup round, I did an extensive QA audit focusing on consistency and color contrast with regards to accessibility.
Thanks a lot for reading this case study. This was a fun and challenging project. I learnt a lot in process and I believe the Zerowaster app can help James and many other users accomplish their recycling goals.
